I bought the “Advertising Profits from Home” book and program off the TV after seeing the informercial.
I’m no stranger to internet marketing and for the relatively low price of the book, $19.95 plus shipping, I figured if I learn one or two things that help my business, its worth it to see what’s up.
If you’ve read any reviews of this program, you know that once you order they hit you with several upsell offers. Its easy enough just to decline these offers, but to people who might be new to this type of program, you will probably consider this hard sell to be over the top. Just know what to expect and politely decline the upsell offers they ask you about.
Once you’ve ordered the program and received your books and materials, here’s what you can expect.
The book contains a pretty good overview of Internet Marketing and the core effective means of generating residual income from a small amount of up front work. This is mostly centered around obtaining domains that cater to what people are searching for and then leading those user’s to your review site, which in turn contains an affiliate link to a product related to the search your site is optimized for.
Once the end user purchases the product from the vendor’s website, you get an instant cash credit added to your Paypal account. Once you’ve got the process down (niche research, site creation, site promotion), its a very repeatable and fun business to be in.
So the core method is…
- Do niche research to find a problem in which people are using Google search seeking solutions (example: “help with infertility”)
- Find a product on clickbank.com that offers to help with the problem. If no product exists (a service search for example), you can use Adsense ads instead of product review. Obtain your affiliate code for directing sales from your review site landing page.
- Obtain a domain name that closely matches the search term – ideally an exact match if available such as helpwithinfertility.com (or .org or .net)
- Launch a WordPress site using an SEO WordPress Theme like ClickBump Engine or Thesis.
That’s really all there is to it as an overview.
